Brad¶

1. Representing methodological metadata within VegBIEN schema
   • Goal: a practical (if not optimum) solution in time for our end-Feb deadline for first draft of schema
   • Key questions:
     1. What is most efficient way of linking common methodological attributes to plots, subplots and strata?
     2. Can we support a mix of first-level elements ("hard wired" universal attributes) and user-defined elements (ontological approach)?
   • Deliverables needed: lists of candidate methodological attributes we should track (i.e., any that should be first-level elements) - from Brad, Mike, Bob, others?
2. Comprehensive DwC_BIEN schema for importing specimen data
   • Brad sent out a spreadsheet describing this schema last week
   • Deliverables needed: brief comments from Jim (on geospatial attributes) and Bob or Mike (on taxon concept attributes)
