2012-08-03 conference call¶
Topics¶
Switching to VegCSV¶
would like to have conference call with Nick Spencer and Matt Jones in the last two weeks of August- important that it's a vocabulary of terms like DwC
requires "reversing" XPaths so that they start with location instead of plantobservation or specimenreplicatethis allows the separate plots/organisms/stems/specimens "tables" to be merged into one list of terms
Merging of the separate plots/organisms/stems/specimens map spreadsheets¶
- simplifies mapping
- enables having a single map spreadsheet for all VegCSV terms, which is a superset of the DwC mapping
- user provides dependency ordering of their CSVs
- subfolders of src for each input "table", sorted by prefixing name with a #
- via format defaults to DwC (later VegCSV), unless custom format specified using =<format> in subfolder name
Conference calls¶
- no call next Friday
- Bob away (but available the following Friday), Brad might be away, Martha will be coming back from Texas then
- next call on Th 8/16 or Fr 8/17
- separate from VegCSV conference call above
- Friday conference calls will likely stay at current time in the fall
- Bob's teaching schedule will most likely allow time on Fridays
