2013-07-11 conference call¶

Upcoming¶

• call next week on Friday at 1pm PDT instead of Thursday

  • almost everyone will be available, including Brad, Bob, and Ramona, but not Brian E and possibly not Jim
• calls for the rest of the summer will stay at Thursdays at 8:30am, unless there are objections

Decisions made¶

• the *import process PowerPoint* has been updated with answers to the red-highlighted questions in the slide notes
  • notes from the wiki page have also been added (in the slide notes)
• the *timeline* has been updated according to Martha's feedback
  • Brad's tasks have been labeled

To do for Brad¶

1. clarify range modeling derived columns:
   • which should be in the normalized DB¹: "Please include all the range modeling derived columns in the normalized database." (Brad) .
   • which are only needed by the range modeling: see 2013-05-16 conference call in TWiki > 3. validation

To do for Mark¶

1. provide feedback on stage II validations and switching away from column-based import
   • stage II validations (this referred to flattening and unioning): prefer not to use denormalized schema, so prefer not to flatten at this step
   • switching away from column-based import: might not have time to switch to normalized VegCore, so would defer this change
   • Mark requested a PowerPoint of the TNRS results schema: TNRS_results.ppt .

To do for Aaron¶

1. send out WhenIsGood to reschedule next week's call
2. add e-mail responses and wiki notes to *import process PowerPoint* in slide notes
3. e-mail out import process PowerPoint and timeline (see Decisions made above)
4. clarify range modeling derived columns with Brad: see To do for Brad above
5. talk to Mark about stage II validations and switching away from column-based import see feedback above under To do for Mark
