- unit inference: inferring units for out-of-range measurements
- e.g. an elevation that is labeled km but is off by a factor of 1.6 could automatically (and reliably) be relabeled as miles
- requires ranges for which each measurement is considered valid
Data provider feedback¶
We are using errors tables, a by-value error logging mechanism. For example, see vegbiendev's *ARIZ.Specimen.errors table* _1 (access instructions on the wiki under PhpPgAdmin). See also the *meaning of the error codes*.
1 Note that this table is cleared before any full re-import of the datasource, so its contents will vary depending on how far the latest import has gotten.
