Spot-checking validation order¶

I have flagged each Datasource and their current status as either ‘egregious’ (meaning needs focus and completion before Dec. 20th) or ‘not egregious’ meaning that we can proceed but presumably we will likely return to this issue later once BIEN3 has been ported over to iPlant.

Egrigious (in order of importance)
FIA (a very large data input and complicated)
GBIF (its our central data input - GBIF has to be correct)
ARIZ (the home team so we need to make a good showing)
CVS (close to being done)
Madidi (close to being done)

Non Egregious (presumably the issues with the following are less pressing and error filled)
MO (As MO is also central arguably this could be placed in Egregious too but presumably has fewer issues than the above ).
UNCC
BIEN2 Traits
TEX

We can't tell if there are problems since no validation at all has been done.
Needs 1st round validation. This must be done.
Next step is for Aaron to create the record spot-checking "output extract" (no "input" extract needed) and to send it to Brad.

Same as FIA.

ARIZ (the home team so we need to make a good showing)

To determine if any of the items listed as "issues" and "feature requests" MUST be corrected, Brad (or others) will need review the items at https://projects.nceas.ucsb.edu/nceas/projects/bien/wiki/Spot-checking_validation_details
Scroll down to the yellow rectangle containing handy links to the feedback on each data source. Click "ARIZ". See the table listing Brad's feedback and a column in which Aaron indicates "Fixed?"
Are the yet-to-be-fixed items essential to fix according to the definition of egregious above?

CVS (close to being done)

In Progress.
Bob and Mike will need to nominate items as being egregious or say none are.

Madidi (close to being done)

I don't know if it is close to being done.
Brad or someone will need to check the items as noted under ARIZ.

Non Egregious (presumably the issues with the following are less pressing and error filled)

I do not presume. Again, the scientists need to check the issues. It's the nature of the issue/feature request, not the number.
