I have started to compile some instructions for use of the mapping tool (attached). Because the tool is a working prototype some aspects are not especially user friendly!

I’ve put the tool up on the ftp site that Elise used. : ftp://ftp.landcareresearch.co.nz/VegX

7
In that directory are 3 sub folders:
8
9
Tool: which has the installation package
10
Resources: which has 3 files needed by the mapping too for the example dataset: VegXSimple.xsd, VegXSimpleToFull.xslt, and VegX_Flatten.xslt.
11
Example data: has an excel spreadsheet dataset and an already partially completed mapping file.

The installation package should install to a folders called Landcare Research/MappingTool under Program files and create a Resources subfolder and Source subfolder
14
Copy the VegXSimple.xsd and VegXSimpleToFull.xslt files into the Resources folder within the MappingTool folder and copy VegX_Flatten.xslt into the Source. (This isn’t need for the example data).

The example dataset and mapping file can live anywhere you like. You just point to these during the mapping process.
