Sorry for the confusion. Having undergraduates enter data can lead to problems, both of interpretation |

and typing. |

Hi Jim, |
33 |
34 |
I have a colleague at the University of Arizona (Brad Boyle) who has been |
35 |
looking at the database from the UNCC herbarium. There are codes given |
36 |
for Leaf, Flower, Fruit, and Root |
37 |
'leaves': A,F,L,I,M,N,U,V,W,Y |
38 |
'flower': A, F, I, J, M, N |
39 |
'fruit': A, H, I, M, O, Q, S |
40 |
'root': A,B,C,E,F,I,M,N,P,Q,R,S,Y |
41 |
42 |
Do you know where we can find the definitions? Doubtless a few are typos, |
43 |
but we really do not know where to start. If it would help, I could give |
44 |
you a count for each. For example, for leaves M is the most common with |
45 |
39535 records. |
46 |
47 |
Thanks, |
48 |
Bob |
